United Builders > LLOYD CLAYCOMB II CHAIRMAN/FOUNDER BS Physical Science/Business, Union College, Lincoln, NE, 1976. Attended MBA Program, Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ Lloyd K. Claycomb II founded United Builders Service with the purpose of delivering the highest quality construction services to his clients. He enjoys a close personal, working relationship with each of them. He personally handles all the bonding and financial needs of the company and is responsible for providing dedicated leadership that has allowed the company to grow each and every year. Mr. Claycomb's vision is to continue establishing the company's reputation as a leader in the marketplace and expand its reach on a international level. He is also the founder and CEO of Design Builders of Montana, Enclave Custom Builders in Arizona, and Avi Bree Real Estate Holdings in Nevada. He has recently served on the Board of Directors of Maranatha Volunteers International and also served on the Board of Directors of Grand Canyon Bank. He currently serves on the board of Our Children International. As a philanthropist, Mr. Claycomb enjoys contributing important donations to many international Christian programs.
United Builders > STEPHEN KOHARA -- PRESIDENT Prior to graduating from college, Stephen Kohara was recruited by Lusardi Construction Company in San Marcos. CA, a full service general contractor with an annual volume of up to $200 million. Starting out as a project engineer, Stephen took an aggressive approach toward gaining experience by working in Project Management and Estimating. He took these experiences to the field where he worked in the capacity of superintendent and project manager on projects ranging from automotive dealerships to correctional facilities for the State of California. Upon joining United Builders Service in 1995 Stephen immediately stepped in as General Manager to oversee the company. As the President of UBS, Stephen is responsible for all departments and personnel of the company. He is extremely active in all day-to-day operations and works closely with the individual department heads by providing leadership that helps the company maintain profitability. He reviews all estimates and personally tracks the progress of each project through constant communication with UBS's general superintendents and project managers. His assertive style and professional attributes ensure our clients that United Builders Service strives for the same goals to make each project successfull. Having grown up in Central Louisiana, Stephen enjoys hunting and fishing. Stephen and his family currently reside in Golden, Colorado.
United Builders > LLOYD CLAYCOMB III -- SENIOR VP Lloyd Claycomb Jr. oversees the Southwest division of United Builders Service. With extensive experience in commercial and high-end residential management, Lloyd's skills are brought into use with the vast array of jobs ranging from multi-million dollar home construction to 80,000 square foot golf club houses. Lloyd is 100% fluent in Spanish and also oversees our international construction projects on the beautiful Mexican coasts. Lloyd presently resides with his family in North Phoenix, Ariz.
United Builders > BILL VANSCIVER -- CHIEF ESTIMATOR Bill began his construction career in the field as a journeyman drywall hanger and framer in 1966. He and Lloyd Claycomb II started working together in 1979. Bill has many years of experience in the field as a project supervisor. He has managed various types of projects ranging from mid-rise commercial tenant finish and luxury hotels to medical facilities and large multi family residential projects. Bill currently serves as UBS's Chief Estimator and has kept our company on the cutting edge of technology by bringing in the newest, state-of-the-art estimating software and equipment with digital technology. This equipment plays a vital role in allowing us to produce more accurate and complete estimates while giving us a basis for which to track job costs and production rates. Bill works closely with all of our material suppliers and plays a major role in negotiating our larger supplier accounts. He has helped develop and maintain our purchasing department to ensure that materials are ordered correctly and delivered to each jobsite on time. Bill is a native of Denver, Colorado, and enjoys fishing and playing golf. Bill currently resides with his wife in Northglenn, Colorado.
United Builders > KIP FRANZ -- ESTIMATOR With all the jobs that are coming through our office, we require the skill of an experienced estimating team. Kip handles the task well, and brings the skills of many years to the table. Kip entered the trade as an apprentice in 1972. Over the next 35 years he acquired numerous certifications, managed crews of up to 150 and continued to educate himself in the trade. Kip's complete understanding of safety, First Aid and CPR, and OSHA standards makes him our "Safety Guru". His knowledge of material and purchasing made him the perfect person to move to estimating.
United Builders > AMY ROSE -- CONTROLLER Amy acquired her BS in Business Administration, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO, 2000 Amy has practiced construction accounting since 1990. She is currently responsible for the entire accounting department at United Builders Service, Inc. Assertive and organized, she maintains the company's proprietary construction accounting software. In addition to managing budgets for every UBS project, Amy reports to and works very closely with the company's outside independent auditors and bonding company. She works directly with all vendors taking advantage of early payment discounts and has helped the company obtain substantial credit lines with its bank. Amy oversees the payroll department and ensures accuracy of certified payroll reports as well as managing the entire administrative staff of United Builders Service, Inc. Amy is a native of Nacogdoches, Texas, and currently resides in Lafayette, Colorado. Horseback riding, reading and dog agility training are activities she enjoys.
United Builders > ANNETTE MELTON -- PAYROLL MANAGER & HR Annette is a very diversified and valuable member of our hard working team at United Builders Service. Since Annette joined us in 2004 she has covered many areas in the office from purchasing and pricing to invoicing, budget control and more. Annette currently manages our field employee and subcontractor payroll. When Annette took over payroll, it consisted of 25 employees and has now flourished to over 140. Before joining United Builders Service, Annette was a bookkeeper for companies ranging from plumbing contractors and software to an assisted living facility. Her diversified background is a great asset. While Annette is exceptional with payroll her niche seems to be HR. She has natural talent to ease tension and assist in all our employees’ health and well being. Annette has been a fitness instructor for over 15 years and knows how to communicate well with all those in need. Annette is a native of Chicago but loves warm weather. She is the proud mother of one and dotes on her pets of 2 dogs and 2 birds. She loves to socialize, dance, walk her dogs and laugh.
United Builders > TOM SALIDO-SUPERINTENDENT Tom brings to our team 25 years of experience in both residential and commercial building. He has been a Superintendent for 17 years and has been involved in numerous projects. His experince includes Hospitals, private residences, Hotels, apartments and many more. We can count on Tom for any of our metal or wood framing projects. Tom enjoys the excitement and challenge that any project in the field brings!
United Builders > RANDY ST ANTOINE-- GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT OF WOOD DIVISION Randy started his career in construction in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1976 and came to Denver in 1980 to continue his experience in the metal stud framing and drywall industry. Randy participated in the construction of many of the high rise buildings that dot the Denver skyline. He has also worked on many high end multi unit condominium projects in the mountain resort towns in Colorado. Randy joined UBS in April of 2006 and currently heads the multi family wood project division for all of UBS and oversees multiple lead personnel on our projects. He brings extensive knowledge of all aspects of our industry including commercial and residential metal stud framing and drywall. Randy compliments any project with his experience in scheduling, quality control, safety and his ability to maximize productivity for not only UBS but for the entire project thus assisting our clients with ensured success. Randy resides in Commerce City and enjoys spending time with his granddaughters as well as do-it-yourself projects around home, hiking and fishing.
